Rotating 12-hour shifts — Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM; Nights: 7:00 PM
- 7:30 AM. Night-focused schedule with required 2-3 day-shift
orientation, weekend coverage (must work 4 weekend shifts per
schedule), and holiday coverage as needed. No set fixed schedule;
block scheduling honored (3 shifts in a row possible). Hours per

people heal. Roles & Responsibilities Perform continuous remote
surveillance of cardio-pulmonary rhythms from a centralized
monitoring station Accurately recognize, record and report
dangerous rhythm changes and arrhythmias per established protocols
Notify local RN staff promptly and follow proper communication
channels for routine and emergency situations Operate and monitor
GE and Ascom equipment to ensure clear, reliable telemetry
monitoring Manage high patient ratios (up to 45-60 patients) while
maintaining attention to detail and patient safety Follow command
center policies, improve department metrics, and participate in
quality and patient outcome initiatives Participate in
cross-training opportunities and support department needs as a
Clinical Connection Specialist or Virtual Patient Companion when
needed Qualifications Graduation from an accredited program that
includes EKG interpretation Minimum 2 years of recent related work
experience (3 years preferred) Current BLS certification (required)
Must pass the Advanced Dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (lethal
rhythms portion is pass/fail — one chance) Experience with
telemetry monitoring, EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm
recognition Ability to work committed block shifts and meet
weekend/holiday coverage requirements Willingness to comply with
facility policies (no outside concurrent assignments while on
assignment; strict no cell phone policy; hospital provides work
phone) Education Graduation from an accredited clinical program
that includes EKG interpretation Knowledge & Skills Telemetry
monitoring and remote surveillance best practices Advanced
dysrhythmia recognition and EKG interpretation Familiarity with GE
monitoring systems and Ascom communications equipment Experience
with Cerner charting system a plus Ability to manage high
patient-to-technician monitoring ratios Strong communication skills
for coordinating with bedside RN staff and leadership Attention to
detail, triage prioritization, and adherence to protocols Benefits
