Job Description:

Responsibilities: We are looking for a Corporate Senior Accountant to assist in the monthly closing of the general ledger, consolidated financial reporting, analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts. Other responsibilites will be: * Prepare cash journal entries daily. Prepare journal entries to include inter-company, allocation, and recurring journal entries * Prepare master bank account reconciliations * Prepare various balance sheet account reconciliations * Track and record national vendor rebates accrual * Concur reporting for employee expense reimbursements and AMEX * Prepare equity roll forward schedule on a quarterly basis * Prepare monthly Accounts Receivable and Accrued Liabilities summary reports for management * Prepare corporate deposits * Record all investment transactions and reconcile monthly * Prepare the monthly sublease income invoices and calculations * As needed, assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements* Interact with a wide variety of internal and external contacts, frequentlySee what our CFO has to say about Meritage Homes!https://www.themuse.com/profiles/meritagehomes/framed?profile_page=18364&parent_page_referrer=#hillaQualifications: * Bachelor?s Degree required; preferably in Accounting/Finance * Five (5) years of accounting experience, preferably in a publicly traded company* Strong computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Windows Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and primarily ExcelOverview: Are you looking for an incredible career opportunity?
