Job Description Currently partnered with a Plumbing and HVAC company in Peoria that is looking to hire an experienced Bookkeeper for their company. This is an established company that has been providing services to Arizona residents for over 20 years and are looking for someone that can be with the company for years to come They are looking to have someone in place by Memorial Day so that they can train with the current bookkeeper for a week or two. The company is about 50 employees, but most of those employees are out in the field. This Bookkeeper will be the company's primary accounting person and will handle most of the day to day accounting functions. The company also has a CPA that they work with. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, be highly organized, have strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a team player. Experience working with contracting or plumbing/HVAC industry is desirable but not required. TYPICAL DUTIES: Communicate and coordinate effectively, orally and in writing with various levels of professionals including vendors, subcontractors, and staff members. Bank reconciliations Credit card reconciliations Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Cash deposits Customer billing and invoicing Customer refunds and gift cards Bank deposits Petty cash Fuel Purchases Assisting with payroll, including setting up garnishments, child support, etc. Job Cost Tracking Maintaining detailed budgets in excel Preparation of project bills Track a variety of tasks in multiple projects Prepare work orders and reports Copying/filing/scanning duties Workers comp QUALIFICATIONS: 3 years of experience in an administrative, accounting or coordination-related role Strong Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets QuickBooks Proficient in all other MS Office products Strong interpersonal and communication skills Organization skills, efficiency, dependability, teamwork, customer service skills, "can do" attitude
