candidate will have an opportunity to be part of a large
Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) organization as a Chemical
Handler in Tucson, Arizona. *Starting Wage: $20.12* What you Will
Do: The Chemical Handler will perform tasks to include, but not
limited to, receiving, issuing, storing, ordering, and transporting
chemicals, compressed gases, fuels, liquid and solid hazardous
wastes while complying with all government regulations such as
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and
Health Administration (OSHA) training and safety regulations.
Operates forklifts, trucks, carts, dispensing pumps (air, gravity,
and hand), computers and hand tools, to handle, issue, and
distribute chemicals and wastes in a safe and efficient manner
throughout company operated facilities. Locates, stores and
maintains inventory, shipping, and receiving records. Orders
chemicals and supplies from vendors. Assures proper packaging and
labeling to properly transport and store chemicals and hazardous
waste materials throughout company operated facilities. Assures
packages and containers are marked with proper safety information
as required by governing regulations/agencies. Assigns and stores
chemicals to the proper compatibility groups in accordance with all
regulatory directives. Delivers and picks up all empty or full
containers and takes appropriate steps to dispose of waste
according to all applicable regulations. Delivers appropriate
containers to collect wastes such as used oils and coolants,
solvents, acids, paint related materials, solvent contaminated
wipes etc. and empties/disposes the appropriately designated
manner. Prepares and uses various forms such as memos, receiving
reports, hazardous waste tags, labels, and various documents, as
required, to document handling of all material used in Chemical
Handler’s area of responsibility. Transports, segregates, manages,
and determines the disposition of all materials/property received
at company owned/operated chemical/hazardous waste facilities in
accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Supports plant
site spill response team by reporting spills and identifying type
of spill and elements involved. Provides cleanup materials and
documentation in response to hazardous substance spills. Delivers
and connects compressed gas cylinders to labs, test positions, gas
supply outlets etc. Decontaminates containers or equipment, as
required. Qualifications You Must Have: High School Diploma or GED
Requires a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) CDL Class “A” with
hazardous materials endorsement in accordance with appropriate
regulations Ability to lift weight in accordance with current OSHA,
Bureau of Labor Standards, and Raytheon recommendations and
guidelines Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security
clearance required Ability to obtain and maintain ATF clearance
Qualifications We Prefer: Work experience in the functions of
receiving, storing, issuing, inventory, and/or delivery Experience
handling hazardous chemicals and/or hazardous waste Excellent
powered industrial truck operation skills Resource Conservation and
Recovery Act (RCRA) Training 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and
