*The schedule for this position consists of four, 10- hour shifts between the hours of 12:00pm until 11:00pm, Sunday through Saturday. - Flexible schedules will be considered based on the needs of the program.
As a Behavioral Health Technician , you will be responsible for the safety, physical and emotional well-being, and supervision of residents in the agency's care.
Essential Functions:
Provide awareness, safety, security, and supervision for our clients at all times
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with clients, agency staff, and outside agency contacts
Interacts with clients, reinforcing concepts presented in life skills and other groups
Prepares daily progress notes and other required documentation
Administers and documents medications as prescribed on medication logs after Health Office Orientation training and under the direct supervision of a Supervisor
Follows all behavior management protocols and procedures
Reports emergencies, client concerns, and building needs to the appropriate parties
Assists in preparation, documentation, and serving of meals and snacks
Attends daily staffing meetings, planning sessions, and trainings as required
Responsible for daily routines and housekeeping duties as assigned
Participates in classes and groups with clients
Attends offsite activities that may include sporting events, fairs, the zoo, concerts, movies, and shows
Models Center's expectation for sensitivity and competency relating to diversity and cultural awareness
Education/ Experience:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Education must consist of a high school diploma or equivalent
Must have at least one year of experience supervising, nurturing, and meeting basic needs for youth or one year post High School Diploma/GED education leading to a degree in Social Work, Child Development or related field
Must have- a valid Arizona Driver's license, exhibit the ability to operate Agency vans and/or vehicles safely, and have a clean five- year motor vehicle history
Must possess or be able to obtain level one fingerprint clearance card
Must have computer knowledge and proficiency to ensure complete and accurate documentation
*Actual pay rates are dependent on education and experience.
