GSE Absolute Consulting, is currently working with a major client who are involved in manufacturing chemicals related to semiconductor devices, amongst others, located in the Phoenix, AZ geographical location. They are looking to hire a Project Engineer on a full-time basis, starting asap! Pay up to $120k. Our client is an expanding and stable chemical manufacturing ISO certified company, that also has manufacturing plants located in Texas and Oregon. This position will be based out of the Phoenix, AZ geographical location, but will support their plants in Texas, Oregon and other new plants as required.Reports to: Plant General ManagerEducation: Must have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering Overview:The Lead Project Engineer will effectively manage engineering and technical projects between 3 plants. Assist the engineering department to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget and on schedule. They will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.Responsibilities:--- Maintains control of all project documentation.--- Coordinates and maintains special inspection documentation for the project.--- Creates, manages and tracks RFI's from the field to the Architect/Engineer of record.--- Maintains and distributes project plans.--- Maintains/updates project records.--- Assists the Project Manager/GC in creating and distributing the project schedule.--- Studies Job Specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.--- In charge of turning in submittals from subcontractors for approval for all scopes of work based on the plans and specifications.--- Assist Project Manager/MPCA in getting building permits for the project.--- Maintains alignment with site's EHS management systems (SWPPP, Air Permits and Industrial wastewater) and applies for modifications to state and local SWPPP permits/NOI's for project.--- Stays current on corporate, industry and regulatory requirements as related to safety, building codes, engineering directives, environmental, etc.--- Analyses and manages risks on projects.--- Coordinates project change order management, creation, negotiation between Project Manager and MPCA.--- Conducts and documents weekly project owner's meetings/decisions.--- Creates and distributes meeting minutes.--- Assists the project team with site safety documentation and coordination.--- Assists the project team with documenting job progress and schedule.--- Creates and distributes project closeout material, O and M manuals to owner once project is complete.--- Assists the project team with closeout of the project.--- Assists Project Accountant with monthly subcontractor billings and pay applications.--- Assists Project manager with assigned tasks.--- Complies with all federal and state regulations--- Awareness of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards--- Performs other duties as required and assigned.Skills and Experience:--- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to motivate a team.--- Excellent organizational skills.--- Strong Project Management experience; decisive, adept at spotting potential problems and finding appropriate solutions to keep productivity on schedule.--- Excellent Time Management skills; able to adhere to tight deadlines and ability to prioritize tasks to ensure project runs smoothly.--- Understands Project plans and Specifications.--------- Flexibility to overcome unexpected issues that arise; able to adapt and work through problems.Minimum Qualifications:--- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred.--- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a Project Management role.--- Minimum of three (3) experience managing multiple projects.--- CAD, CAD/CAM Circuit Design--- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office--- Proficient in SAP Business One--- Other skills as assigned
