successfulSummary:Responsible for the implementation, performance,
stability and security of the Credit Union's network hardware,
operating systems and infrastructure. Ensures the integrity of a
high-availability LAN/WAN infrastructure to provide maximum
performance.This role is eligible for a hybrid work
schedule.Responsibilities:
- Ensures the security of LAN/WAN/Internet connectivity
devices.
- Enforces network standards based on industry
best-practices.
- Performs configuration and provides support/administration of
firewall environments in line with IT security policy.
- Administrates and configures LAN/WAN and data communication
equipment including switches, routers, terminal servers, etc.
- Provides support for VoIP routers, servers and phones.
- Provides support for, and troubleshoots, the Credit Union's
internal LAN/WAN cabling infrastructure, including Cat5/Cat 6/fiber
optic connectivity.
- Provides high-level connectivity support for ATMs, host system,
and all business partner systems.
- Deploys appropriate upgrades and patches for all network
devices.
- Maintains OS/Configuration backups for all network
devices.
- Creates and maintains network documentation, including IP
address allocations, configurations and diagrams.
- Monitors the usage levels and forecasts usage trends on the
Credit Union's LAN/WAN environment.
- Generates network-based reports as requested by management
team.
- Evaluates alternative network infrastructure solutions.
- Provides escalation support for Help Desk as needed.
- Assists in user training and the development of
procedures.
- Ensures full compliance with UNIFY Financial Credit Union
Service Standards and the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
- Requires some college or technical certification training, a
Bachelor's degree is preferred with a minimum of three
years-related experience in network engineering, preferably in a
financial institution.
- CCNA certification is preferred.
- CCNP is desired.
- Requires thorough knowledge of local/wide area networks,
network security, the Internet, and Internet-related services.
- Knowledge of current and prior network operating systems is
required.
- Position requires the ability to think creatively and work
independently.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally
and in writing.
- Must be proficient in spreadsheet, word processing, diagram,
