The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Senior Manager (Level L) that will oversee execution of the _Processors & Displays and Integration Teams_ on the AH64 Apache and AH6i Little Bird programs located in Mesa, AZ. This position falls within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. This position will work closely with domestic and international customers and various suppliers to incorporate equipment updates and engineering changes to meet contract requirements and support fleet needs.

The selected person will be a strong leader who is passionate about technical execution, continuous improvement, and people development. They should be assertive with a drive for excellence.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
  • Develops and completes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides guidance and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.
  • Senior Manager of a team of multi-disciplined engineers performing hardware requirements definition, design and qualification for:
    • Multi-core Mission Processing systems
    • Graphics processing
    • Helmet Display processing
    • Crew Displays and Keyboards
    • Ethernet routing and networking devices
    • Recording devices (MDR, SSRD)
    • Data concentrators (AIU, RIU, PIU)
    • Leads a diverse team of multi-disciplined engineers performing Mission System Requirements Development and Test for:
      • Manned / Unmanned teaming avionics integration
      • Engine Control
      • Data Management
      • Ground-based Aviation Operation Planner (AOP)
      • Network Management
      • System Architecture This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Mesa, AZ location.

        This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance post start for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

        Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
        • Degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
        • 5 or more years of experience in engineering.
        • 5 or more years of experience managing or leading teams.
        • 1 or more years of experience in advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedule or resolve technical or operational problems. Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
          • Established track record managing experienced engineers and developing highly effective distributed teams.
          • Ability to manage a large team and complex work statement while balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.
          • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage challenging demands.
          • Experienced leader, who has built an environment conducive to an aggressive development schedule.
          • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
          • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
          • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
          • Practical experience in managing complex projects particularly geared around quality, cost and timeliness of delivery.

            Relocation:

            This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
