Job Description:
You will be responsible for a wide range of mechanical and
electromechanical systems for battery cell and pack development.
You will work on battery cell mechanical design, battery pack
enclosure and packaging, HVAC cooling systems, cooling plates, and
system enclosures. You will leverage your skills alongside
mechanical, manufacturing, and software team members to develop
world class battery cell and pack systems for Nxu new cell in pack

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and development of Nxu battery cell manufacturing
equipment
- Design and development of battery pack enclosure assembly
systems
- Design and development of battery pack low voltage and high
voltage wiring assembly systems. -
- Design and development of battery pack and cell thermal
management assembly systems. -
- Engage with and identify suppliers for mechanical and
electrical components, tools, and systems. -
- Engage with hardware, software, manufacturing, and mechanical
team members in small agile teams developing future pack programs
for mobility, energy storage, customer and Nxu programs. - -
- Engage with supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and
validation teams to ensure seamless product transitions from
concept to production readiness. -
- Define mechanical and system -requirements. - IDEALLY, YOU HAVE
EXPERIENCE WITH:
- 0-5 years of mechanical component and assembly design
experience. -
- Electrical systems -
- Electro-mechanical design requirements -
- Metal bonding techniques -
- Motor magnetic principles and requirements -
- Sheet-metal & cast metal part manufacturing and design
-requirements. -
- Plastic molding and design requirements -
- Thermal management systems such as heat exchangers, heat
transfer, liquid cooling -
- Developing, building, or converting an EV -
- Should -have a good understanding of basic physics -principles.

- Capable of building fundamental mathematical models to ensure
design meets performance criteria. - AND YOU'RE SOMEONE WHO IS:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering -
- 3 years minimum CAD design experience -
- Excellent communicator -
