Job Description Job Description SUMMARY The hired candidate will
fill an Inside Sales position that is responsible for domestic
sales accounts within a specific territory. They will be
accountable for meeting their sales goals, via direct interaction
with regional sales managers, channel partners, sales agents, and
direct customers. They will be responsible for creating and
recording all contact interactions and building an opportunity
sales plan, respectively. Candidate should have experience in
technical product sales, CRM reporting and record keeping, and key
account management – while having an excellent technical knowledge
of load cells, torque transducers, and instrumentation. The sales
engineer daily support efforts are typically provided via phone,
email, and written correspondence. The sales engineer initiates,
follows through, and ensures completion of all sales orders and
channel/customer requests in a timely manner (generally Travel may
be required to meet with, or provide support to channel partners
and key accounts/customers. However, primary work assignment is
conducted at Interface. The successful candidate will become an
expert in all company products in order to provide excellent
technical support to their assigned channel/customer base.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must achieve sales goals as
agreed to with direct manager Must be able to work collaboratively
across department lines in order to expedite sales orders and meet
customer needs. Must be an effective administrator and communicator
to customers, reps, and internal employees. Must respond to
customers within 24 hours. Must maintain regular contact with all
key channel partners and customers within the assigned territory.
Must respond proactively to all engineering requests and purchase
orders ensuring all documents are complete and accurate. Must
provide excellent support and care for the CRM (Salesforce) data –
ensuring that all contact and care information is recorded and
well-organized. Must build a credible opportunities list – based on
proactively working and supporting distributors, channel partners,
and sales agents in their assigned territory. Must provide product
training, marketing information, and other sales support tools to
the distributors, channel partners, and field agents. May travel in
support of overall sales and to assist with promotional events and
trade shows. Must be able to work with other staff members to
produce product releases, catalogs, and information for the
website, and product insertions and application notes each quarter.
Must stay abreast of all Interface product developments and those
of the competition. Must be adept at getting all necessary facts on
a new application, identifying customer needs and ascertaining if
and when the customer is going to buy and if it will be Interface.
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education High school or GED; associated
degree preferred Experience/Requirements 3-5 years of experience
inside sales of a technical product SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
REQUIRED Excellent listening and communication skills both verbal
and written. Thorough knowledge of all products, services and
prototypes. Independent judgment and discretion are required. Must
be a self-starter. Must be able to always maintain the up most
confidentiality. Highly effective in developing relationships and
promoting sales. Able to deal with people of different cultures.
Able to quickly understand vastly different applications and
recommend the right product. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role is
primarily office-based. The position requires extended periods of
sitting, using a computer and phone. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical
demands described here are representative of those that must be met
by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of
this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must be able to
lift and/or move items over 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust
