safer, more secure world. The Hardware in the Loop (HWIL)
Department in Tucson, AZ is a multi-discipline organization
responsible for designing, building and integrating state of the
art testing environments (flight simulators for missiles), as the
last step before flight test. On our team, you will work with
weapon system designers to understand requirements, design
solutions, integrate, and deploy the systems to help support
tactical software development, testing, and delivery for missiles
to the warfighter. This position is within the Effectors Center of
the HWIL organization, and is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ
What You Will Do Researches, develops, designs, and tests
electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs
electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems
for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. Produces
products according to specifications, using the most cost effective
and efficient means. Analyzes and evaluates new or improved
electronic components. Includes power generation, transmission and
distribution, rotating machinery, illumination, wire communication
systems and servomechanisms. Includes circuit theory, computer
design and development, instrumentation, radio communications,
semiconductor devices, solid state devices, and television systems.
Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in
Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a
minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience. Professional
electrical engineering design experience to include electronic
design, troubleshooting, analysis, and test (circuit card level
through systems level) Experience using electrical engineering
design and analysis tools such as: Altium, DX Designer, Mentor
Capital, Creo Schematic, Xilinx Vivado, or equivalent Experience
using test equipment, such as: Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network
Analyzers, Power Meters, etc. Experience using schematic capture
tools and interpreting schematics, or performing advanced FPGA
firmware development (VHDL, or Verilog). The ability to obtain and
maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S.
citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a
security clearance. Due to the nature of our business, remote work
is not possible. Qualifications We Prefer Experience leading
focused multi-disciplinary teams doing hardware integration to
include tasking responsibility Experience working with programming
real-time operating systems or embedded systems Excellent technical
writing and formal presentation experience A working knowledge of
computer architecture and computer hardware optimization techniques
Experience with developing and implementing programming languages
Experience utilizing integrated development environments and
debugging tools to troubleshoot software Ability and willingness to
utilize existing designs as a starting point to interface with new
units under test (UUTs) and UUT configurations when necessary
Experience with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis Experience
performing analog, digital, and/or RF design, or VHDL/Verilog

salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary
range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all
