The Director if Nursing is a member of an interdisciplinary team and will have responsibility over all aspects of patient care in a Crisis Observation and Inpatient environment. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in nursing management, behavioral health best practices, staff development, compliance with regulations both internal and by licensing/regulatory agencies, and psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment. This position holds a great deal of responsibility. The ideal candidate would be able to assume ownership and provide proactive problem-solving skills to ensure the program is providing excellent patient care.Administrator DutiesProvide leadership and guidance to other nurses and nursing staffProvides leadership and support to Nurse Supervisors in monitoring staff skills and knowledge, identifying opportunities to improve quality of patient care, and achieving unit outcomes and deliverablesCommunicates difficulties and operational problems directly to the Associate Director of Operations and Medical Director, or designee, as they are occurringCommunicates any incidents, accidents, patient or stakeholder complaintsWorks in tandem with the Operations Administrator to ensure that adequate staffing (by discipline) is in place to ensure coverage and support of each unit he or she is responsible forWorks in tandem with the Operations Administrator and Clinical Administrator to ensure that patient programming is in place and that staff assigned are monitoring and interacting with patients throughout the day and nightWorks in tandem with the Operations Administrator and Clinical Administrator in carrying out educational and training programs for new and existing employees.
