A Southern Arizona Medical Center is seeking a Director Infection Control to join their world class healthcare organization.Utilizing epidemiological methods, the Infection Control Director will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and will manage a team of 2 Infection Control Practitioners.The Director Infection Control will collaborate with a team of nursing directors, overseeing this Medical Center, which has been serving the community for over 75 years.The Director of Infection Prevention and Control will coordinate infection surveillance, education, administrative, and control measures to assure that the transmission risks and complications of infections and infectious diseases are minimized to medical center clients, personnel, and visitors.In this role, the Director of Infection Control will be required to manage and maintain responsibilities including statistician, educator, consultant, improvement coordinator, and evaluator of practice. The Infection Prevention Director will be conversant with the infection hazards of all patient care services in order to be able to recommend and evaluate the effect of prevention strategies.With the emphasis on improvement and publicly reported data the Infection Control Director will possess a heightened ability to provide statistical analysis of data, be knowledgeable regarding NHSN data management and evaluate and implement prevention strategies.This Clinical Director of Infection Control will benefit from the convenience and comfortable environment of an award-winning facility dedicated solely to outpatient surgery.
