Will Do: -
- You will lead a significant TDP effort
- You will conceptualize, design, integrate, and document
mechanical-focused hardware using computer-aided design, mechanical
analyses, and consistent coordination and communication across
teams to ensure successful hardware performance. -
- Application of design for manufacturing and assembly best
practices will be a critical skill set to be successful in this
position. You may also include leading teams in the completion of
above---tasks.
- Work with technical engineers to propose, design, develop,
integrate, and document complex detailed designs and large
assemblies within the mechanical design department. -
- Communicate with cross-functional engineering team members and
suppliers to design, model, and document the design technical data
package (TDP) and its capabilities and compliance to requirements
to peers, leadership (ERB/CCB), and customers. -
- Work under limited supervision and act as the responsible
design authority -
- Perform work in proprietary spaces may be required based on
program assignment.
- Some travel may be required to meet and work with vendors and
to support testing and other activities as needed. -The Sr. Design

the position is onsite.Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor in Science, Technology,
Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior
relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 9+ years of
experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be
substituted for additional years of experience -
- Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
or Tolerance Analyses or Mechanical Hardware Drawing Practices and
Interpretation (i.e. ASME Y-14.5)
- Experience in Computer-aided Design (CAD)
- Experience in Creo Parametric (ProE) or Windchill/Common PDM
-Qualifications We Prefer:
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design, development,
and/or test,---preferably of---defense-related components or
systems -
- Experience in mechanical design drafting and/or development
preferably of---defense-related components or systems
- Experience in airframe development, electronics packaging,
mechanisms, for missiles or similar applications -
- Understanding and experience with manufacturing techniques and
assembly best practices -
- Understanding of military specifications and industry design
standards -
- Experience with effective communication (written and verbal)
during collaboration with others to document design---actions and
results, to perform trade studies, and to communicate to
program---management and customers through presentations and

our products.#LI-SM4The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD -
164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate
representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several
