Job DescriptionEssential Functions

  • Provide assistance on assigned studies including, but not limited to, venipuncture, patient injections, ECG, vitals, spirometry, EDC entry, source documentation, responding to queries, filing, and other study assessments required by protocol.
  • Serve as an unblinded pharmacist for studies as assigned by:
  • Acting as a liaison between the research staff and the sponsors, drug companies, IRB, federal, and state officials and other regulatory agencies.
  • Scheduling, preparing, and conducting monitor visits and sponsor/Federal Drug Administration audits.
  • Attending investigator's meetings and site initiation visits with the sponsor to review and assess progress and conduct the study.
  • Coordinating protocol specific training for study staff and communicating important study updates such as study start-up and protocol amendments with all appropriate staff.
  • Documenting protocol deviations and reporting to the IRB if applicable.
  • Maintaining regulatory documents from study start up to study completion.
    • Monitor investigational product temperature logs and report temperature excursions.
    • Collect, process, and ship laboratory samples according to protocol.
    • Maintain supplies and exam rooms according to quality control processes.
    • Review and understand multiple protocols.
    • Interview and schedule patients by phone and in person.
    • Other duties, as assigned.Education and Experience Requirements
      • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from accredited school required.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, required.
      • Experience working in pediatrics, strongly preferred.
      • IV Certification, strongly preferred.Qualifications
        • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
        • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
        • Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently.
        • Enjoy interacting with a diverse group of people with an ability to listen and provide empathy when needed.
        • Detail oriented.
