Job Summary
This position is scheduled to begin August 2023. The Mesa Community
College Social Work Program is the number one contributor of
quality social work students to schools of social work in the State
of Arizona. The purpose of the social work faculty position is to
support the MCC Social Work Program and its director by teaching
foundational social work courses to a diverse population of
students toward the attainment of an AA Emphasis in Social Work
degree and assist in transfer to a BSW program. The social work
faculty position will:

Minimum Qualifications
The Academic Teaching Fields require the following from an
accredited college or university:
1. A master's degree or higher in the teaching field, or a master's
degree or higher in any teaching field with 18 graduate semester
hours in the teaching field. A master's degree (or higher) in any
of the following areas is within the teaching field*:
2. EDU 250 - Teaching and Learning in the Community College -- or
equivalent must be completed within two years of date of hire
*Minimum qualifications updated on 12/27/22.
Desired Qualifications
Special Working Conditions
Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license,
local travel required; must meet minimum standards regarding
