Banner Desert Medical Center's Critical Care Service Line is
designed to provide specialized care for adult patients with
life-threatening medical and surgical conditions. The patient
population includes the following: neuro, trauma, respiratory,
heart, sepsis, renal, endocrine, infectious diseases, and
gastro-intestinal clinical emergencies. Our flexible progressive
care/intensive care model helps serve our community by keeping
highly skilled staff available to meet the individualized patient

Registered Nurse Operations Support Specialist collaborates with
nursing leadership and education to coordinate education, training,
and onboarding of the critical care team at Banner Desert Medical

collaboratively with the nursing leadership to roll out education

Support Specialist also participates in hospital committees, leads
quality initiatives, and assists with audits and environmental

special patients.POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting nurse leadership in the
planning, development and execution of facility education for
clinicians, supporting the on-boarding and orientation of newly
hired registered nurses, career development and effective internal
clinical communications. This role performs under the guidance and
direction of the chief nursing officer or designee and serves as a
liaison between all disciplines by effectively communicating,
educating and problem solving. This position proactively supports
the quality and continuity of services throughout the healthcare
systems and assists in resolution of systems issues and enforces
facility/unit/department policy/procedures and standards of care.
This position coordinates oversight of quality, risk management,
safety and nursing standards and is a role model and resource
person for providing quality patient care and maintaining clinical
competency within the facility/unit/department; collaborates with
Clinical Education to coordinate and support the on-boarding and
precepting of newly hired nurses (this includes supporting programs
and communication within the facility); develops and coordinates
system and facility initiatives to promote clinical career
development and lateral nurse pathways and may lead and implement
facility clinical initiatives. This position contributes to society
