ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts with options of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM • Every other weekend requirement: Friday and Saturday for night shifts, Saturday and Sunday for day shifts • Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly • Multi Care Unit with combined acuity levels (ICU, PCU, MST) on one 10-bed unit • Patient ratios depend on acuity: ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, MST 1:5-6 (1:3 primary care if no nursing assistant) • Minimum 2 years ICU experience required, or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med-Surg from larger facilities • Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • Titrate drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin • Care for patients with sepsis, suicide attempts, drug/alcohol withdrawal, COPD, respiratory arrest, pneumonia, DKA, and post-op complications • Take 12-lead EKGs and monitor bedside cardiac monitors for ICU patients • Float to Emergency Department, MST, Pediatric unit, and West Campus in Prescott for ICU/PCU assignments • Standby rotation required during low census periods • Any scrub color permitted except camouflage • Charting system: Cerner • BSN not required • Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks) Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center providing acute care services with specialized units including a unique Multi Care Unit that combines ICU, PCU, and medical-surgical acuity levels within one department.
