Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - CVICU Job Details: • Work in cardiovascular intensive care unit with varied work schedule • Weekend and holiday rotation required • Possible call and float to support units • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients • Complete patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and developmental needs • Formulate and implement individualized plans of care including discharge planning • Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities • Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members for optimal patient outcomes • Supervise and provide direction to licensed and non-licensed personnel • Maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to cardiovascular intensive care • Current valid RN license in state of practice required • BLS certification required • Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required • Experience in acute care setting within past 12 months as registered nurse in specialty area • Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient care • Must demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment Facility: This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility that provides advanced cardiovascular intensive care services.
