emergency departments Description: The Emergency Room Registered
Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment providing high-quality
care. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience
in an emergency department setting. First-time travelers are
welcome to apply. Weekend shifts are required, typically every
other weekend. Active, unrestricted RN license is a prerequisite
for this role. Certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support, National Institutes of Health Stroke
Scale, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support is required. Trauma
Nurse Core Course certification is preferred. The role involves
patient care for a mixed demographic, including pediatrics and
geriatrics. The emergency department handles a variety of patient
diagnoses and offers services for trauma and behavioral health.
Nurse-to-patient ratios during shifts are typically 1:5. Staff will
be supported by various interdisciplinary services to ensure
comprehensive patient care. Candidates should be comfortable with
floating to affiliated departments as needed based on patient
census. The department values seasoned travelers and encourages
