a qualified Correctional RN in Eloy, Arizona, 85131! Job Title:

current licensure in the state of employment. Description: The
Registered Nurse (RN) plans and provides comprehensive nursing
care. The RN executes orders from Licensed Independent Providers.
The RN dispenses and administers medications. The RN assists
Licensed Independent Providers in examinations and treatment of
patients. The RN applies nursing and supervisory techniques for the
care and treatment of individuals. The RN performs all technical
procedures within the scope of his/her education and licensure. The
RN applies appropriate nursing skills in the treatment of
individuals. The RN attends sick calls to see individuals. The RN
prepares lists of individuals to be examined. The RN prepares
examining rooms and equipment. The RN operates pill call and
dispenses medication. The RN documents as required by applicable
policies. The RN calls Licensed Independent Providers for
medication and treatment orders in emergencies. The RN examines and
assesses individuals with illnesses or injuries. The RN refers
individuals to emergency rooms or appropriate healthcare
facilities. The RN performs emergency procedures as needed. The RN
notifies Licensed Independent Providers for treatment orders. The
RN assists in coordinating professional medical services. The RN
monitors inpatient hospitalizations for early releases when
appropriate. The RN provides guidance, supervision, and monitoring
of nursing care by staff. The RN maintains good working
relationships with facility staff. The RN utilizes corporate,
facility, and correctional policies in decision making. The RN
regularly evaluates the provision of medical services. The RN
maintains security and confidentiality of all medical records. The
RN assists with the review of medical files for documentation. The
RN closely monitors all potential catastrophic illnesses. The RN
audits pharmacy use for adherence to formulary as required. The RN
complies with applicable pharmacy laws. The RN observes and records
individual behavior. The RN inspects the medical unit for items
that could be used as contraband. The RN provides health counseling
and health education. The RN assists with preparing and maintaining
various records, reports, and logs. The RN reads, analyzes,
comprehends, and interprets medical and technical procedures. The
RN reviews and responds to lawsuits and attends court hearings when
necessary. The RN facilitates accreditation of the medical program
by providing efficient medical services. The RN prepares and
disseminates safety and accident reports as required. The RN takes
appropriate action in cases of serious incidents and emergencies. 5
