The Role The HR Manager responsibilities include managing all
generalist HR duties for manufacturing facilities in Mesa, AZ,
Carrollton, Texas & Castroville, California. Initiatives include
the day-to-day management of human resources team members to
include recruitment, training, payroll and employee relations to
ensure facility compliance with federal and state laws. Anticipate
and implement change in the organization with the application of
policies and procedures. Understand the companys business in order
to contribute to overall strategic goals and objectives from a
human resource perspective. Coordinate the implementation of
strategic recruiting, staffing initiatives and corporate-wide
initiatives under the direction of the Vice President of HR and
Director of Human Resources.External US:Key responsibilities for
this role include: Employee Relations:
- Maintain and implement policies as needed, that are compliant
with applicable state law(s), and train and educate managers and
employees on the policies, mitigating risk to include understanding
of Arizona, California, and Texas employment laws
- Provide coaching and advisement on employee-related issues such
as professional development, performance, investigations and
disciplinary action
- Manage and develop HR team to provide excellent customer
service and support to management and employees Training:
- Manage the New-Hire and Benefits orientation process for new
hires; Open Enrollment and Health Fairs in conjunction with a
Shares Services department
- Identify training needs based on managements input and work
with OD/Training Specialist in soliciting bids/RFQ for training
from outside sources when needed/necessary
- Manage OD/Training Specialist in the creation and delivery of
in-house training materials/programs as needed to advance the needs
of the FEUS and FEUP organizations
- Oversee the needs analysis process for professional development
and leadership training for high potential employees
- Assist with the identification of succession backfills and
conduct a needs gap between incumbent and successor to ensure
timely and complete hand-off prior to retirement Recruitment
Activities:
- Manage Recruitment Manager in the recruitment activities of top
talent including sourcing, interviewing, offer and pre-employment
process for AZ, CA, TX and RI manufacturing facilities
- Partner with managers to determine requirements for the
position and qualities of an ideal candidate, update job
descriptions as needed to ensure compliance
- Work with managers to create job descriptions and post job
descriptions, determining FLSA compliance
- Manage the job requisition reporting and
applicant/interview/hire reports/and compliant reporting as
necessary (iCIMS)
- Develop, determine, and implement recruiting best practices for
diverse hourly, non-exempt and exempt positions
- Forge relationships with outside providers that can continually
provide highly qualified candidates for our openings, minimizing
time to fill and other standard recruiting metrics
- Manage Succession Planning initiatives Other HR Duties:
- Manage and provide development for HR support staff to include
two HR Generalists
- Responsible for managing the Mesa and FEUP Compensation and
Performance Management System
- Manage Payroll Administration for Mesa and FEUP locations;
maintain data integrity of all systems
- Conduct Assessment of current HR vendor relationships as
needed, to ensure quality, timeliness and pricing are competitive
to the marketplace
- Partner with HLUS on opportunities to develop or share on other
partnerships/initiatives that deliver results to our
organization
- Creation and maintenance of standard HR Metrics and reporting
for departmental achievements
- Conduct Job Analysis for the production roles in our
organization ensuring cohesiveness and thoroughness to assist in
the development of sound job descriptions and training and
development needs
- Manage company event planning activities to include Recognition
and Patent Award Programs
- Manage Fujifilm benefits and plan offerings as needed through a
Shared Service environment
- Participate in the recommendation of industry competitive
policies, practices and programs to meet organizational needs to
become an employer of choice
- Participate in Compensation surveys and conduct salary studies
for specific roles for all locations to ensure internal equity and
external competitiveness
- Support and participate in Environmental, Health & Safety and
quality department programs and requirements; partner with EHS
department on share initiatives and projects
- Other HR duties as assigned to support the effectiveness of the
HR Department REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree required in Business Administration, Human
Resources Management or other related discipline
- A minimum 6 years progressive experience in a Human Resources
Manager role, with at least 5 years experience within a
manufacturing environment
- Must have knowledge of employment regulations to include DOL,
EEOC and FLSA
- Strong understanding of Payroll, Benefits and HRIS
Administration required
- Strong understanding of Applicant Tracking systems and
electronic Onboarding programs
- Knowledge of providing HR services to various functions
(manufacturing, R&D, quality, sales, marketing, engineering,
facilities, information systems, etc.) within an organization;
experience in a 24/7 manufacturing setting preferred
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence and persuade
across all levels of the organization, exercising a high degree of
confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact and diplomacy to
accomplish objectives
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly present
recommendations and ideas and to summarize complex issues
- Previous demonstrated experience as a trainer, creator of
training documentation/crafting of needs analysis, preferred
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced,
time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple
deadlines
- Ability to travel when needed to support above mentioned job
duties
- Ability to work onsite to service employees and support
managers
- This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to
successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment.
