Position Overview: Verra Mobility is seeking a Solution Architectcandidate to develop and implement systems architecture that will meet business needs. The solution architect's responsibilities include gathering requirements, functional specifications, identify business challenges, assessing the current software systems in place in order to identify areas in need of improvement. The solution architect should identify new technology that align with the business goals and modernization of the design. To be successful as a solution architect, you should be able to integrate any updated specifications and requirements into the systems architecture. An outstanding solution architect should be able to explain complex problems to management in layman's terms.

  • Building and integrating information systems to meet the company's needs.
  • Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
  • Providing supervision and guidance to development teams.
  • Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.
  • Informing various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.
  • Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have.
  • Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.
  • Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or technical questions; train end users and technical support staff as required.
  • Convert user stories into application logic, reports, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems.
  • Develop detailed technical analysis and design specifications based on functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with multiple development, design, and analyst teams to solve problems.
  • Contribute in the implementation of improvements across organization product base.
  • High energy, confident, ambitious, and self-motivated individual. Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related work experience.
    • Minimum 10+ years of experience in solution design and 7+ years of experience in solution development.
    • Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design.
    • Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases.
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
    • Experience with AI/ML platforms and systems.
    • Skills in cloud native technologies and best practices.
    • Worked with CI/CD best practices.
    • Experience with containerized environments and coding best practices.
    • Background with enterprise level software development tools.
    • Understanding of software development processes and methodologies including, Agile, Scrum, Test Driven Development, and Continuous Integration.
    • Clear and effective communications skills both written and verbal.
    • Familiarity with software development frameworks, such as Spring.
    • Experience with Azure, Azure VMWare, and coding for Saas and Paas.
    • Outside the box thinker.
    • Successful completion of the Nlets fingerprinting background assessment
