Description Job Overview Gourmet Foods International is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our operations, including warehousing, logistics, fleet management, and inventory control. As part of the Executive Team, you’ll collaborate with senior leadership to drive strategic growth and profitability while ensuring daily operations run efficiently and in full compliance with regulatory standards. Bonus, Incentives & Company-Provided Resources Above-average salary Company-provided equipment What you'll do Some of your duties may include: Manage all aspects of the warehouse, fleet/logistics, and inventory control functions Hire, train, and manage drivers, warehouse, and supervisory personnel. To include ongoing assessment and implementation of employees and training needs. Manage and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and programs. Responsible for managing compliance and regulations concerning, DOT, OSHA, FDA, HACCP state and local authorities. Monitor, evaluate and manage inventory utilization and inventory control procedures. Ability and willingness to be hands-on with daily warehouse operations as needed Analyze process workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes Things you need to be able to do: In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations. Experience using transportation management systems and routing software. Familiarity with RF scanning and warehouse management systems. Strong budgeting and expense management skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching above the head and below the waist. Excellent communication skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently. Ability to lead and guide cross-functional teams and respond to operational challenges with urgency and resolve. Things that are a plus: At least 8 years’ experience in warehouse, fleet/logistics, and inventory control management. 3-4 years management experience in distribution environment.
