The Challenge

The process technician level1 is responsible for safely operating and maintaining the Dyneema production facility to produce Dyneema laminates, of the highest possible quality, in the most cost effective manner.

The Position

+ To set up, operate, adjust, and clean all equipment required to produce CT products in accordance to work instructions and standard operating procedures of level.

+ Take samples and determine properties of the produced intermediate and finished products.

+ Maintain records of raw materials and the finished product in the appropriate system.

+ Inspect and pack finished product.

+ Move, measure, maintain inventory and store raw, intermediate, and finished products.

+ Assist in the training, guidance, and leadership of other team members.

+ Exposure to hazardous conditions, contaminants and unpleasant odors.

+ Supply and maintain inventory of components/supplies as needed.

+ Correct process conditions with given limits, to maintain desired quality. Issue maintenance work orders for maintenance or repair work.

+ Performs minor preventative maintenance.

+ Performs in-process quality checks as required. Demonstrates a commitment to quality by ensuring all product documentation is accurate and complete.

+ Responsible for compliance with relevant laws, regulatory requirements, recipes, SOP's, and other related documentation and activities. Ensures Company guidelines related to company policies relating to quality, safety, housekeeping, and cost effectiveness are met.

+ Maintain records of the used raw materials and the produced products in the appropriate computer system. Enters data about components, intermediate and finished products into the tracing and tracking system.

+ Maintain accurate production related records.

+ Move raw, intermediate and finished products.

+ Utilize standard material handling equipment.

+ Operate forklift, pallet jack, and overhead crane.

The Ideal

+ High school diploma and at least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in a textile or composites production environment and/or equivalent

+ Knowledge of appropriate safety procedures

+ Knowledge of changeovers/cleaning/set-up, work instructions

+ Ability to perform mathematical computation; problem solving.

+ Problem solving/troubleshooting skills.

+ Organize, schedule and follow-up on activities.

+ Creativity and initiative.

+ Interpersonal and communication skills.

+ Effective oral and written communication skills in English language.

+ Basic computer skills (Word and Access)

+ Ability to operate forklift and overhead cranes.

+ Mechanical skills & knowledge including equipment assembly.

+ Ability to identify problems and utilize good decision-making skills to resolve.

+ Ability to maintain accurate records.

+ Ability to constantly produce quality products at established production rates.

+ Attention to detail, alertness, skill in detecting defects and identify machine or process problems or improvements.

+ Ability to follow directions.

+ Ability to read gauges, dials, meters and set controllers; ability to coordinate hand-arm manipulation.
