StretchLab is a unique wellness studio that uses customized assisted stretching to improve the flexibility and mobility of our clients. We are the industry leader in assisted stretching, and use an evidence-based flexibility and biomechanics assessment program delivered via 25 or 50 minute one-on-one sessions or group classes. At the core of our studios are Flexologists, who provide assisted stretching services to our clients. Flexologists require a background and national certification or state licensure in rehabilitation, sports medicine, massage therapy, or strength and conditioning. Individuals with the appropriate background then undergo an additional 70 hour Flexologist Training Program (FTP) where they learn and practice our flexibility program. The studio is located in the Eastmark neighborhood of Mesa, AZ, near Signal Butte & Warner. Each of the over 120 currently open StretchLab studios across the country are independently owned and operated. StretchLab studios are backed by the support of a national office that oversees training and education, and provides operational support and infrastructure. The StretchLab East Mesa studio is looking for individuals with experience in sports medicine and physical therapy (ATC, PT, PTA), fitness and personal training (certification from NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NESTA, NCCPT, NCSF, ISSA, AFAA, or NFPT), physical education instructor (K-12), or massage therapy (LMT). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who hold another full- or part-time position to use their background and skills to earn additional income on a part-time basis, while working in a fun, supportive, energetic fitness studio environment. Full-time applicants will also be considered. Salary is a combination of base pay and productivity bonuses.Duties and Responsibilities Deliver one-on-one assisted stretch sessions as well as group stretch classes for up to 6 clients Perform flexibility assessments Document client progress and preferences Encourage and motivate clients throughout stretch sessions Build studio membership Retain and maintain current clientele Ensure safety of clients in regards to proper stretch techniques and enforce StretchLab polices and safety rules Attend staff meetings and required educational presentations Handle member concerns when applicable Assist sales associates and General Manager with studio tour, offsite events, and sales as needed Maintain strong social media presence to client membership and retention Maintain and clean equipment and studio in order to ensure it is available for client use at any given time Qualifications - Ability to deliver assisted stretching services up to 50 minutes at a time - Certification/licensure from one of the following national organizations (certification must be maintained throughout employment period): o Board of Certification for Athletic Training (ATC), state licensure preferred o State licensed physical therapist (PT) or physical therapist assistant (PTA)o State licensed physical education instructor o State licensed massage therapist (LMT) o National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) o American Council on Exercise (ACE) o National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) o American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) o National Exercise & Sports Trainer's Association (NESTA) o National Council for Certified Personal Trainers (NCCPT) o National Council on Strength & Fitness (NCSF) o International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) o Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) o National Federation Professional Trainers (NFPT) o In lieu of national certification, candidates with a bachelor's degree or higher in kinesiology, exercise science, sports medicine, or biomechanics and relevant work experience will be considered - Ability to create and work in a positive work environment that welcomes clients and staff of all backgrounds - Excellent communication skills and empathy - Must love connecting with clients and have a passion for helping them achieve their fitness goals - Professional work ethic, with impeccable reliability and punctuality - Must be able to complete the Flexologist Training Program, which includes a combination of online and in-person instruction, and practice stretching services - Pass a State of Arizona background check PI137014828
