Arizona College is currently seeking a Career Services
Coordinator for our Mesa, Arizona Campus!Arizona College is a

thing.What You'll Do:The Career Services department's main
responsibility is assisting graduates in finding training-related
employment. This position will work with an assigned portfolio of
students and graduates to achieve placement results by coordinating
and matching employer needs with the skills and abilities of
graduates. The Career Services Coordinator is responsible for
monitoring student externships, and tracking all phases of
externship and career development as well as assisting in job
searches, interview preparation, and resume revisions for recent
graduates and alumni. This position is held to specific placement
standards provided by ABHES for each program the Campus offers and
will provide coaching and feedback to improve successful placements
outcomes. The position will focus on seeking out new job leads and
creating lasting and sustainable relationships with prospective
employers for extern sites and permanent employment opportunities
for our graduates.Meet with all recent graduates not immediately
hired after externship, and past graduates as needed to assist with
updating their resume, provide job leads, and discuss interviewing
strategies and/or concerns.Notifies and motivates
students/graduates of job openings and suggests a plan of action to
the graduateReceive all incoming calls from employers with
information regarding job openings, from graduates needing job
leads, and calls regarding references on graduates.Receive and
document all incoming calls from externs and site supervisors
reporting concerns or absences.Complete all appropriate paperwork
when a new graduate is placed and document all placement activities
in the appropriate placesGenerate congratulatory letters to
graduates and employers when placed.Fax resumes to employers.Send
letters welcoming new employers who have been in contact and Job
Placement Brochures to prospective employers.Compile packets for
all students leaving for externship.Conduct externship orientation
meetings with all students leaving to begin externship.Develop new
sites through networking and outreach activities within the medical
community and obtaining affiliation agreements with the
sitesTerminate students from externship who are in violation of
policy as necessary.Constantly seeks and cultivates new job
openings through site visits, networking, searching online and in
publications, and any other available lead source, referral,
etc.Aggressively follows-up on all referrals, interviews and
placementsConduct resume writing and interview skills workshopKeeps
accurate records of site locations and students' internship
hoursDemonstrate professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a
representative of Arizona College and student mentorUpdates
existing Affiliation Agreements.Manage externship placement and
monitor/track student's externship progress.Maintains a minimum 70%
placement rate for each program offered by the Campus.Maintains
appropriate and accurate placement records in accordance to ABHES
standards.Establishes and maintains an electronic database
containing student and graduate employment records, as well as,
maintaining complete hard-copy records.Counsel individuals to help
them understand and overcome personal, social, or behavioral
problems affecting their educational or vocational
situations.Performs/assists with other duties and projects as
assigned.Contact employers to prospect job openings and conduct
company site visits.Work with companies requesting campus
visits.Assist and participate in the public relations activities of
the school.All other duties as assigned.What We Need From You:To

required.Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or
technical school; or equivalent combination of education and/or
experience; Bachelor's degree preferredPost-secondary education
recommended; related experience may substitute for degree.Good oral
and interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate
general information to students, faculty, staff, externship
preceptors and other related personnel.Proficiency with personal
computers and software applications required to perform a variety
of clerical and administrative functions.Must be results oriented
and able to manage various projects or numerous tasks at one
time.Ability to communicate with students on a one-to-one basis,
helping them identify their professional and personal strengths,
encouraging them to apply to and interview with a variety of
employers, and helping them remain positive and upbeat throughout
the job search process.Data entry. Attention to detail. Ability to
note and track employment trends.Excellent customer service and
