    • Job Summary

      Maintains order, security and safety at the college by foot and cart patrol; enforcement of district rules and regulations; provides a variety of assistance to persons using the college facilities. Monitors camera and fire alarm systems. Answers phone calls into the College Police Office for service or information related activity. Works with a diverse population of administrators, faculty, staff, students and the public. Demonstrates a commitment to service excellence, innovation, student success, integrity, and diversity in the performance of job duties.

      Essential Functions

      70% - Patrols campus property and reports conditions; directs traffic and/or parking activities,

      10% - Reports campus incidents and emergencies, while acting in an "observe and report" capacity; administers first aid as needed; responds to door locks and unlock, provides directional information to individuals on campus

      10% - Monitor phone and camera systems; assist with dispatching calls for service

      5% - Maintains logs, writes some reports and documents incidents

      5% - Other duties as assigned

      Minimum Qualifications

      High School Diploma or GED. There is no substitution or equivalency allowable for the High School Diploma.

      Desired Qualifications

      A. Experience in security or law enforcement

      B. Previous experience working safety/security in an educational institution

      C. Experience using a computer and associate software applications

      D. College education

      E. Customer service work experience

      Special Working Conditions

      Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license is required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving:

      May be required to work at multiple sites or locations

      May be required to work evenings and weekends

      May be required to lift or carry up to 25lbs

      May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor

      Work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and environmental conditions
