- Friday-- 1430-0300 12 hours --, Saturday Night--
1730-0600--
- Holiday Rotation and Holiday call rotation: Holiday Rotation: 2
to 3 holidays a year depending on rotation and staffing.
- Call requirements:-- Rotating Call shift Sunday Night 6pm to
6am once every 6 weeks.--
- Preferred qualifications:
- At least 1-year of ultrasound scanning experience with General,
GYN, Early OB 1st trimester limited 2nd trimester and --vascular. (
--Pediatric, and --Obstetrical exams ( 2nd, 3 trimester) High Risk
experience preferred, but not required. )-- Graduated from an
Ultrasound Program-- and must have their ARDMS registry and/or be
eligible to take registry in either Abdomen or OB/GYN, and or RVT
(registered Vascular Technologist) RVT registry recommended but not
a requirement. --Registry has to be completed within 1 year of
hire. ------Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication
skills.---- New grads may be considered for this position.--

- Provide excellent-- service to patients in the Ultrasound
department, physicians, fellow employees, and hospital staff.--
--We are a fast paced environment with prioritizing exams --and
critical thinking skills.

- We have a large facility that provides --the opportunity to
scan a wide variety of ultrasound exams.-- Staff are always
learning --and developing and strengthening their skills.-- We scan
pediatric and adult patients.--Additional DetailsEquipment used:
--GE, Philips Ultrasound EquipmentNumber of staff working alongside
prospective team member: --Weekdays,-- 5 to 6 staff members,
Weekends: 2 to 3 staff membersNumber of patients seen daily: --Each
day can vary---- Weekday ( 70 to 90)-- Weekends ( 30 to 50)
depending on patient volume.-- Each staff scans about 10 to 13 scan
in a shifts depending on hours worked.Types of procedures etc.:
--Pediatric, OB/ GYN, General Abdomen, Small parts, Abdominal
Vascular, Venous and Arterial exams upper and lower extremity,--
Invasive procedures( paracentesis, thoracentesis, Biopsies, drains

very special patients.POSITION SUMMARYThis position performs
prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility
policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal
care/treatment to patient populationCORE FUNCTIONS1. Performs
procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders.
Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies
according to established policy and procedures.2. Educates
patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be
performed. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all
interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and
quality patient outcomes.3. Produces high quality images and
prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for
timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate
documentation.4. Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed
invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with
established policies if applicable.5. Performs and evaluates
equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to
trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain
equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients,
personnel, and visitors. Adheres to safety policies.6. Accountable
for the ethical, legal, professional and certification
responsibilities related to the practice. This includes maintaining
confidentiality of all work information.7. Assures the efficient
operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an
adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure
non-interruption of services.8. Independently performs prescribed
procedures in accordance with department/facility policies,
procedures and protocols to patients. Internal customers: All
levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical
staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care
team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients
and family members.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSRequires national
certification in the area of specialty from the American Registry
of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or from Cardiovascular
Credentialing International. For new graduates, certification must
be completed within 12 months of hire. BLS certification
required.This position requires clinical knowledge typically
achieved with 1-2 years of experience. Must demonstrate effective
communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data and
solve problems.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAdditional related education
