Oregon.Job MissionThe Head of Regulatory Affairs US will report to
the Head of Legal Affairs US. This position will handle a wide
range of regulatory affairs matters, including providing legal
advice and counsel across various sectors, functions, and business
units both in the United States and internationally. The attorney
will oversee external counsel and advisors. The ideal candidate
must be comfortable working in a team environment, confident in
their judgments, and capable of communicating concisely and
effectively at all levels within the company.Role and
responsibilities:Regulatory Development: Responsible for tracking,
monitoring, and ensuring compliance with key legal and regulatory
developments or enforcement trends that impact the company's
operations and industry.Investigation: Lead and manage regulatory /
government investigations, instances of non-compliance, or
violations. Represent ASML US in investigations, disputes,
lawsuits, and/or negotiations with government agencies and
regulators.Advice and Collaboration: Provide proactive and
practical advice on regulatory topics and programs to the business
to help navigate legal and regulatory risks and requirements.
Collaborate with the business in setting their strategies, targets,
opportunities, and priorities.Compliance: Work closely with
compliance functions and owners to ensure the business complies
with all applicable laws and regulations.Representation: Represent
the company before regulatory bodies, including submitting
documents and reports and attending meetings with regulatory
agencies, and influence and shape applicable regulatory policies
and regulations.Crisis Management: Provide support during major
crises, such as the COVID-19 pandemic.Performs other duties as
assigned or required.Education and experienceJuris Doctor (JD)
degree from an accredited law school and active bar
membership.Admission in good standing to practice law in at least
one U.S. state, and eligible to practice as in-house counsel in the
State of Arizona.Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant
legal/regulatory experience acquired in a law firm, an in-house
legal department or a regulatory agency.Experience with compliance
with laws governing regulatory matters.SkillsExcellent business
judgment and ability to assess legal risk while also thinking
strategically and providing practical, business-oriented
advice.Demonstrated ability to independently manage a diverse,
complex and full workload while maintaining priorities and
proactively anticipating issues and providing solutions.Exceptional
communication, drafting and analytical skills for working with
lawyers and non-lawyers, including experience in developing and
delivering.Experience managing outside counsel.Ability to work both
autonomously and collaboratively.Strong execution and project
management skills and ability to develop consensus among
stakeholders from across the organization.Able to build strong
networks and effectively engage and manage stakeholders including
the ability to drive, steer, convince and influence othersAbility
to determine strategies to move the organization forward,
prioritize, set goals, and evaluate the process and resultsAbility
to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships
