*Job Summary* The Plant Maintenance role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, environmentally compliant, and efficient plant operation. *Responsibilities* * Repair and maintain (welding/cutting) plant equipment* Use various tools, such as sledgehammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, cutting torch, welder, and pneumatic hammer/drill* Electrical troubleshooting; order parts and supplies* Communicate with plant crew, quality control technicians, maintenance team and sales representatives to ensure successful daily operations* Some heavy equipment operation may be required* Maintain a clean, safe, environmentally compliant and efficient operation* Work safely and efficiently in a multi-tasking, high-pressure environment *Education* High school diploma/GED *Requirements/Qualifications* * Experience in ready mix plant maintenance and/or operations* Physically able to climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift, stretch, push/pull, vibrate, twist, kneel, stand, walk, sit, reach* Requires occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.* Knowledge of basic computer skills* Must have the ability to provide own tools* Experience complying with OSHA and state environmental regulations* Understanding of ready-mix quality control testing and specifications* Able to work cooperatively with others* May be exposed to extremes of hot or cold weather* Must be able to work varying work shifts with varying start and stop times* Overtime work plus nights may be required* Must have a valid driver's license *Compensation* *Benefits* At CalPortland, we're proud to offer a comprehensive, competitive benefits package that provides health and financial support to our most important resources: our employees.
