We are seeking a Buyer to join our lean and agile team in our Mesa, Arizona facility. The primary purpose of this role is to source, procure, and ensure timely delivery of quality parts and services from selected suppliers to keep the facility functioning and meet delivery targets.

General Requirements
As a part of the Mesa Operations team, develop specifications & requirements, source appropriate suppliers, negotiate price packages based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) to support long term agreements, and minimize purchasing of single source components for on-going and newly developed programs.
Establish delivery and quality-oriented supplier relationships and develop measurable performance standards with Quality Assurance to use in measuring supplier performance. Monitor capability of suppliers to satisfy expectations of on-time delivery, quality, service, and price commitments.
Support and execute Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Supplier Qualification Assessment, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Credit Applications and any other required documentation to enter into partnership with prospective suppliers.
Establish accounts and execute contracts and purchase orders to APQP standards with suppliers and service providers.
Perform material requirements planning and ordering of vehicle components, MRO items, office supplies, maintenance and repair services, capital equipment, and other items to support the existing Mesa facility, the Mesa Assembly Plant currently under construction, and the overall value stream of the organization.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with the Mesa Operations team including Automotive Technicians, PDI Technicians, Materials, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production to execute product completion and deliveries as scheduled.
Communicate delivery issues with cross-functional team members and escalate appropriately to senior management.
Be a key contributor to the Mesa Operations team to ensure production build plans are met and maintained by managing part availability, forecasting run outs and implementing contingencies, managing supply chain exceptions, and maintaining and distributing expedite reports.
Maintain data integrity of Master Data Files in EMV's ERP software system.

Other Duties
Other ancillary duties as assigned by your supervisor or management.

Working Conditions
This role will be required to work in an automotive production environment
The Buyer will be present during team (or shift) hours including overtime - supporting the team is crucial to success in this role, and to the success of the organization
This role will require travel for learning opportunities, supplier readiness reviews, part delivery qualifications, etc.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
5 years of purchasing, supply chain, or related experience at a manufacturing or assembly facility is required.
2 years of parts, services, and capital equipment purchasing in the automotive industry in a manufacturing or assembly facility is preferred.
Experience in both a large, established organization as well as a startup business is preferred, as is experience in a production launch setting.
Membership or certification in APICS or other Supply Chain related organizations is an asset.
Lean, Six-Sigma, TQM, Continuous Improvement training is an asset.
Experience with NDAs, RFPs, RFQs, setting up vendor agreements and accounts, sustaining POs, PO confirmation, and supplier qualification process required.
High level of computer literacy (including Excel) and familiarity with ERP software (SAP) preferred.
Excellent Verbal & Written communication skills - builds effective relationships across departments.
Team player - comfortable consistently working with multiple teams and coworkers at all levels and from all department in the organization.
Exhibits diplomacy, tact, leadership, and coaching skills.
Self-motivated, driven, accountable, creative, hands-on, and willing to pitch in outside of documented tasks towards launching the business and product.
Initiative to develop and implement process improvements, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Dependably wears PPE as required, holds themselves to Health & Safety standards and requirements, and emphasizes their importance to team members.
Legally able to work in the United States.
