Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Receive materials, packages and/or finished goods on a daily basis. Verify the quality, type and amount of materials received are correct and preform ERP transactions as necessary.
* Unload, load, put away and retrieve material utilizing hand trucks, powered forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
* Pick, pack and deliver materials and/or packages to staging/production areas or to internal customers.
* Performs and/or assists in cycle count activities.
* Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Required Qualifications:

* Has the ability to operate computer systems and software applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Knowledge of database basics such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems (Oracle, SAP).
* Two or more years of forklift experience with the ability to obtain a forklift certification. Turret truck experience is a plus.
* Acceptable driving record.
* California driver license class A is a plus.
* Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
* Solid written and verbal English communication skills as well as strong mathematical skills.

Functional Description

Ensures security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review. Develops and executes replenishment strategies; conducts physical inventories and leads cycle counts. Analyzes and, when able, corrects cycle count discrepancies. Audits incoming and outgoing shipments to assure quality and accuracy. Compiles and documents all transactions for data entry. Responsible for the physical receipt, storage, pick, pack, ship, transport and delivery of inventory.

* Moderate understanding of general job aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
* Applies acquired job and company knowledge of policies and procedures to complete semi-routine tasks.

* Work at this level requires following standardized methods and under immediate supervision on assignments that are semi-routine in nature.
* Follows pre-established guidelines and procedures with minimal choice as to method of performance of the work.
* Has contact with employees at other levels within the company. Information exchanged is generally non-complex.

Judgement

* Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.
* Works under close supervision.

* Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience and a High School diploma/certificate or equivalent.

Language Skills:

Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
