Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Production Manager prepare and oversee the aircraft production
system and manage aircraft production schedule, resources and other
parameters to maintain quality, delivery targets and budget of the
assigned programs.
- Coordinating production workflow for multiple suppliers,
aircraft sub-assemblies and sub contracts while maintaining
schedule and budgetary milestones
- Plan and prioritize production flow to ensure maximum
performance and minimum delays.
- Ensuring that the company's products meet company standards for
quality, policies,
- Providing leadership to ensure that all production activities
are completed on schedule and within budget constraints.
- Preparing reports on production status, including details about
materials used and costs incurred in production.
- Meeting with executive leadership regarding product development
plans, production schedules, and other relevant topics.
- Ensuring the logistic supply and services are scheduled to
support the production schedule.
- Evaluating risks and managing a risk register in accordance
with the project management principles to reduce and mitigate
identified risks.
- Resolving issues and risks associated with the project.
- Conducting post-implementation reviews to ensure continuous
improvement and learning.
- Maintaining compliance with all company policies and
procedures.
- Performing related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Production Manager skills and qualifications
- Experience in leading projects and aircraft assemblies at an
aircraft MRO or production.
- Technical and project management experience in an aviation
maintenance environment.
- A strong working knowledge of safety regulations related to the
business.
- Project management skills
- Leadership abilities to manage and lead meetings and supplier
reviews.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 5 -10 years of experience in project management, MRO management
or in a related field
- A university or college degree, an asset
- Aviation experience, an asset
- Adaptability to listen, analyze, and convey new solutions to
drive project performance and client satisfaction results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including
ability to effectively communicate with internal and external
customers.
- Excellent computer proficiency.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while
maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer
service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to
completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed
routines, and standard accepted practices.
