Job Title:Construction Risk AdministratorLocation:MesaWhat you'll do:As a Construction Risk Administrator, you will administer construction risk within the construction loan portfolio. This is accomplished by an understanding of the Credit Administration approval parameters for loans and the application of Construction Risk Policy and Procedures.What we are looking for:

  • This position will conduct preconstruction cost analysis for judgements on budget feasibility.
  • The job is centered in the administration of balanced budgets at every point in the construction loan draw process, reconciliation of physical inspection reports against these draw requests and evaluation of the supporting documentation supporting these requests. This entails enforcing equity calls to re-balance budgets and familiarity with change orders and detailed construction costs budgets.
  • The Construction Risk Administrator will evaluate database draw input to Presidium with a focus on loan budget balancing for control of the costs-to-complete for construction.
  • The candidate will administer mechanic's lien risks affecting Bank collateral and take the necessary steps to protect the priority of the Bank's lien position while working with the Officer/Borrower/Credit to resolve these liens.
  • The approvals for managing changes to legal description, subdivision plat maps, easements, CC&Rs and dedications must align with To-be-Completed appraisals.
  • Active monitoring of an assigned construction loan portfolio vis------vis: completion progress, time, schedule, budget adequacy and prompt payment, and taking proactive steps to raise and address developing issues with the account officer, Credit Administration and line management.What you need to have:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field required, or at least 5 additional years relevant equivalent experience.
    • An understanding of loan documentation is necessary to assist loan closers in negotiating loan documents. Reporting for Syndication/Participation with other lenders is included in these negotiations.
    • Verification of required Bank equity, present in all construction budgets, is an important function of this position.
    • Independent judgement must be exercised in arranging outside consultants based on cost/benefit. Persuasive talents are employed to train/educate officers and staff on Construction Risk Policies and Procedures.
